I am in Desperate need of help with my Property taxes, every year they continue to rise. I have been disabled since 1989, and survive on SSI payments which barely cover basic needs. I haven't had a vehicle in 2 years because I cannot afford to buy one, which initself is hard because I live in rural Maine. I have applied for a tax abatement in the past only to be denied by the selectmen,they are constantly denying people who are in dire straits. If their is any help out there I would be extremely grateful. I have tried everthing I know how to try and make this money, yard sales, offering sewing services etc.. to no avail. I am getting to the point of giving up.I feel America has become a place of the haves and the have'nots are forgotten, Thankyou for any help.
